New Era Dog Training began long before it became a reality. It started with Ned, the dog you see in many of my photos. Ned was a complex dog who came into my life carrying a lot of baggage—and speaking a language I didn’t yet understand. As I dedicated myself to better understanding his needs, behavior, and communication, I watched our bond grow into something remarkable. What began as a transactional relationship gradually became one rooted in trust, connection, and mutual understanding.
Ned inspired me to change the direction of my life. I wanted to learn everything I could about dogs: how they communicate, how they experience and interact with our human world, and how we can better support them. I left the corporate world and devoted myself full-time to dog training, mentoring with experienced professionals and earning certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.
I continued expanding my knowledge with certifications in Family Dog Mediation and Fear Free practices. These experiences shaped the compassionate, low-stress, and well-rounded approach I use today—one that considers the individual needs of every dog and the people who love them.
Mission
At New Era Dog Training in North Royalton, Ohio, our mission is to strengthen the bond between dogs and their people through shared communication, mutual trust, and positive reinforcement dog training.
We empower families throughout Cuyahoga, Summit, and Medina counties to better understand their dogs, build confidence on both ends of the leash, and create meaningful relationships that last a lifetime
